Polytechs has served long in the ED-coating industry as a UF, RO, and Membrane cell manufacturer. We are the original inventor of tubular cell TECTRON, another advancement in the membrane cell technology. Because of its many excellent features it is now used worldwide. We would like to introduce various features of the TECTRON System, which we guarantee will improve your E-coat operation.

Acid balance---- It is important that there is a balanced amount of acid in your E-coat tank. If there is an excessive amount of acid in the tank it causes finish problems, while if there is not enough acid it causes UF membrane fouling.  To keep this acid balance, historically, a portion of anodes has to be without membranes (called bare electrodes).  On the other hand bare electrodes tend to build sludge on their surface, which eventually come off and gets into the paint causing a sandy rough surface finish, particularly on the horizontal surface.  To solve this dilemma we invented a membrane covered cell that passes the electric current but does not remove acid ( type PT-LAN).  By combining standard, and special membranes, PT-AN and PT-LAN, we can achieve just the right amount of acid concentration in the bath paint (patented).

We have developed a computer simulation program to evaluate ED painting performance. The program was started in 1994. Since then numerous improvements have been made. As a result the prediction of film build profile on the work’s surface became possible for complicated jobs such as a car body.

In recent years, the automobile industry has come to set very high corrosion resistance and safety standards. On one hand 10 years guarantee against corrosion perforation is given, which requires better coating coverage in recessed areas, and other structurally important parts.  On the other hand, higher side collision resistance requires ever more complicated structures in pillars and rocker panels.  Paint characteristics, design consideration at critical parts of the car, and placement of anode cells in the tank, all of these three have to be taken into consideration to coat most cost effectively all parts up to specifications.  Computer simulation aides a great deal in evaluating the over all system involving all these 3 elements.  Much improvement has been accomplished in attaining this difficult coating job since the introduction of computer simulation.

At present time this simulation service is limited to the user of our electrode systems, but in special cases we will consider this service to those outside of our users, on conditions to be negotiated.

Not only as the inventor of the tubular cell, but also serving in the ED-coating industry since its earliest history, we are well experienced in designing, manufacturing, and after-servicing of UF and RO.
